Stitch n Pitch report (picture heavy)

Just a fair warning, this will be a picture heavy post.

We started our adventure yesterday by meeting at Dani's house. We swung off the interstate at one point to pick up Georg, and then got to the game. Now, these pics are a mix of mine and Georg's because he was taking way more pictures than I was.

Here we go....

This is the car pool group just before we went in. That's Dani, Richard, Margarita, Me, and Jo. Georg was taking the picture so he's not in this one.

We got inside to pick up our goody bags. They were WAY better this year than last year. Here's us looking through to get ones with good yarn choices (there are pics at the end of what was in the goody bags).

So we got seated and Margarita and I sat next to one another.

Then we went to get food. And the obligatory beer.

Now some pics of the gang. They gave out sunglasses so we were wearing them in a few shots. You can also see Susan joining us (sitting next to me) after a bit.

Oh, yeah, and there was a game, too. :)

Oh, and I bought some more sock yarn. Had to call John to have him read the directions to me because I had it weird in my head.

Then it was time for the concert. They had Kool and the Gang there performing. We stayed in our seats because we didn't feel like moving.

This is us during the concert.

Then it was time to leave....

On the way out we saw the Monstah Lobstah and had to get a picture!

We headed out, dropped Georg back off at his car, and headed back to Dani's. We stopped and got some food and had great conversation. As always with this group.

I got home after midnight and slept well. Took a nap this morning when I got up and have been just relaxing all day.

So, what was in the goody bags? Here you go:

Had a set of needles and some wooden hooks. I gave one of mine to Dani and kept the other one...a size L.

There was a Lantern Moon bag in the goody bag. :) It's awesome. I used it during the game to hold my sock yarn.

Also a sample of Eucalan wash:

Oh, yeah, and some free yarn! This will be made into socks for me!

I also bought some yarn. Some Tofutsies ('cause I just love that stuff) in purple marl and some Silky Wool that was on sale.

As you can see it was a great time. I'm taking the rest of today off because between all the crocheting I did yesterday and then all the rain we had yesterday, too. My hands are a bit stiff today. I have a ton of stuff to do tomorrow and I need to give my hands a rest.

It looks like such fun! I can't believe all the goodies you received.
I can't wait for Phillies Stitch n Pitch night. It's not for another month and change.

I went to this Stitch and Pitch game, it was Oldies night at the Stadium and the Tampa Bay Rays were wearing their old Uniforms St Pete Pelicans. (I think) when they were a Saint Petersburg team. We had a great game. I had got 4 tickets to the game. I was going to take my teens to the game but they didn't want to go. I had a great time with my Brother and Sister-in-Law and the concert was excellent. Later that season the Rays played in the World Series and my teen son sported a Rayhawk(I am sure you know if you live in the Tampa Bay Area)to show his support. He regretted not going with us, then.
